Call for Papers > Special issues

The conference scientific committee will select the best conference contributions and invite their authors to extend their short papers in the format of a journal’s article before submission to the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration (indexed in Web of Science ISI).

Accepted papers will appear in a special issue of this Springer journal. Submission deadline of extended papers: October 1, 2021.

This regional journal presents original research studies and reviews on topics spanning all areas of Environmental Sciences. The main focus is on innovative approaches that contribute to achieving a sustainable environment in the Mediterranean and surrounding regions. The journal establishes a scientific forum which promotes the exchange of knowledge and fosters collaboration between the countries of the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean on emerging environmental issues. The journal promotes environmental integration by highlighting to decision makers from related sectors the importance of integrating environmental considerations into their respective activities.

Coverage includes approaches and methods for environmentally sustainable innovation; environmental risk assessment; bioremediation; eco-toxicology; water quality management; management of natural resources; renewable energy; waste valorisation and management; sustainable marine and coastal area management; geo- and natural hazards such as earthquakes, landslides and others; geotechnical & geo-environmental engineering, remote sensing & GIS for geo-environmental investigations; the impact of natural and social environments on human health; and other topics.
